The VersaCAMM VS series is as versatile as its name implies. Switch from printing banners, vehicle wraps or fine art to printing and contour cutting labels or decals in minutes. Create custom heat transfers for apparel, point of purchase displays and all manner of signs and outdoor graphics. Take advantage of the advanced features in VersaWorks™ RIP software including the Roland Color System for spot colour matching, Variable Data Printing, the Max Impact preset for richer colour contrast and more. For even faster production, the SOLJET PRO III XC-540 delivers rich, dense 6-colour CMYKLcLm images at an impressive maximum print speed of 41m²/hr. As the world’s first inkjet printer/cutter developed exclusively for DPI award-winning Metallic Silver ECO-SOL MAX™ ink, the XC-540MT features six colors, CMYK+Metallic Silver+White (CMYK+Mt+W). Quadralign
For laminating graphics, simply remove prints, laminate and reload them for precision cutting. The Quadralign four-point optical registration system automatically realigns the cutting path and compensates for skew and distortion. The XC-540MT also functions as stand-alone vinyl cutter.

ECO-SOL MAX™ Inks
ECO-SOL MAX™ is a remarkable innovation in ink technology, offering fast drying time, high density, wide color gamut, rugged scratch resistance, low cost per square meter, and broad uncoated media support. In addition, ECO-SOL MAX ™ is virtually odorless.The XC-540MT features ECO-SOL MAX ™ ink in four colors (CMYK) and in both 220ml and 440ml cartridges. ECO-SOL MAX graphics are water and UV resistant up to 3 years outdoors*. VersaWorks automatically monitors ink levels in both 220ml or 440ml cartridges and posts a warning when levels run low.
* Outdoor durability is based on accelerated weather tests. Results may vary depending upon location and application. Dry times vary depending on specific media characteristics. Lamination may be required for some applications or environmental conditions.

Advanced Media Handling
A true production printer, the XC-540MT features an upgraded media feed and take-up system accommodating rolls of up to 30 kgs. for long, unattended printing. Seven permanent repositionable pinch rollers enhance image quality through even the longest print runs. In addition, the XC-540MT features media guides, a vacuum platen and twin head heights to ensure correct media feed for thin or lighter media. -
Integrated Tri-Heater System
The XC-540MT’s integrated tri-heater system dries prints quickly even in high-speed modes for immediate finishing, installation or collection by the take-up system. The system features three components: a pre-heater that improves media receptiveness, a print heater to accelerate ink fastness and brightness, and a dryer to accelerate the drying process and improve productivity, workability and scratch resistance. All can be controlled from either the printer panel or Roland VersaWorks™.

DU-540 Dryer System
The DU-540 heater/blower is included with the XC-540MT. Depending on the media, it is necessary to use the included DU-540 dryer/blower unit to ensure proper ink adhesion and to assist with dry times. the DU-540 is also recommended to be ON when printing with the metallic silver and white ink configuration. Roland recommends 15 minutes of drying time in order for the metallic silver or white ink to dry fully. This is important in print modes where CMYK is printed on top of white or metallic silver. Testing prior to beginning production is highly recommended. -
VersaWorks RIP Software
VersaWorks RIP software has been developed exclusively for Roland inkjet printers and printer/cutters. This true Adobe PostScript 3 RIP ensures exceptional production output with unmatched ease of use and incorporates the latest Adobe CPSI 3019 engine. VersaWorks supports the Roland Color system which accurately reproduces more than 1,000 spot colors from color charts and swatch books. With VersaWorks, users can choose from print options including a high-speed mode for production banner printing, the MAX Impact preset for vivid outdoor graphics and Artistic mode for exceptional indoor graphics. In addition, VersaWorks features Variable Data Printing and supports up to four Roland devices simultaneously including printers, printer/cutters and cutters. It automatically estimates the ink usage and print time for each graphic so you can accurately monitor time and costs.
VersaWorks features include embedded ICC profile support, ink level adjustment tools, software proofing capabilities, error diffusion for outstanding print quality and advanced cropping, tiling and nesting options. The line-up currently consists of glossy, matte, clear and translucent calendered, premium cast vinyl, premium reflective vinyl, view-through vinyl, flame retardant scrim banner, blockout scrim banner and solvent glossy paper.
